Are you unemployed?

The Coronavirus -COVID -19 has impacted many of our lives and for many of you, you may have been made redundant. I understand this can be a very difficult time for individuals and families all around the world.

Here in the United Kingdom, I have been busy researching FREE support for those of you who have been made unemployed. In the last recession of 2008, many individuals faced redundancy and unemployment with the closure of Retail stores and businesses.

I know this is not the same situation, as we are all in unprecedented times. However, there is support out their for you as Jobseekers.

In 2012, I became a Steps A Head Mentor (volunteer) with the CIPD in London. Over the years many HR and L&D Professionals have volunteered to assist young people and those returning back to work to find employment.

I have assisted many individuals to find work by mentoring them on a weekly basis. The CIPD Steps A Head Mentoring programme is Free. As a Jobseeker you can register with the CIPD or you may be put forward by your work coach at the DWP – Job Centre.

As a Mentee you will need to register with the CIPD Steps A Head programme online. Once registered you will be matched to a Volunteer Mentor who is an HR / L&D professional. They are also members of the CIPD in London UK.
